The Frogs Clinches Lead In Sixth Inning To Defeat Ghent Knights
The Frogs stole the lead late in the game in a 16-10 victory over Ghent Knights on Sunday. The game was tied at nine with The Frogs batting in the bottom of the sixth when an error scored one run for The Frogs.
Tim Hoflack led The Frogs to victory by driving in four runs. Joachim and Tim went 2-for-4 at the plate. Hoflack drove in runs on a single in the first and a triple in the sixth.
Ghent Knights opened up scoring in the second inning when Moritz singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Ghent Knights scored four runs in the third inning. Ghent Knights's big inning was driven by singles by Jesse and Moritz, a walk by Gorik, and an error on a ball put in play by Tim.
Jonas Hoebeke toed the rubber for The Frogs. He allowed five hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out one.
Tuur was on the hill for Ghent Knights. He allowed three hits and seven runs over four and a third innings, striking out seven. Jesse threw one and two-thirds innings out of the bullpen.
Hoflack led The Frogs with two hits in four at bats.
Ghent Knights totaled ten hits. Gorik, Moritz, Jesse, and Giel all collected multiple hits for Ghent Knights. Gorik went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Ghent Knights in hits.
