De Brouwer's Walk-Off Picture Perfect Ending In The Frogs's Victory Over Merchtem Cats
It came down to the wire on Sunday, with The Frogs taking victory on a dramatic walk-off error in the late innings that sealed their victory over Merchtem Cats. The Frogs was down 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning when an error scored two runs for The Frogs.
A four-run lead in the third inning was just enough for The Frogs to hold off 2019 Merchtem Cats 4BB for the victory. Merchtem Cats scored five runs in the failed comeback on a single by Milan BERTHELOOT in the fifth, a single by Jake JACOBS in the fifth, a in the sixth, and a walk by Quinten HUTTENER in the sixth.
The Frogs opened up scoring in the first inning, when Tim Hoflack grounded out, scoring one run.
Merchtem Cats scored three runs in the fifth inning. Merchtem Cats batters contributing to the big inning included BERTHELOOT and JACOBS, all driving in runs in the inning.
