The Frogs Grab Lead In Sixth Inning For Victory Over Cats
The Frogs took the lead late in the game in a 14-12 victory over The Cats on Sunday. The game was tied at 12 with The Frogs batting in the bottom of the sixth when Jonas Hoebeke grounded out, scoring one run.
The Frogs earned the victory despite allowing The Cats to score nine runs in the first inning. The Cats offense in the inning was led by Gavin Kerremans, Gavin Wilbur, Nico Sierens, Yago Engels, Yann Sierens, and Kerremans, all knocking in runs in the inning.
The Cats got on the board in the first inning. An error scored one run for The Cats.
The Frogs scored five runs in the third inning. The Frogs's big bats in the inning were led by doubles by Joost De Brouwer and Frederik Ossieur.
Hoebeke got the win for The Frogs. They allowed six hits and 12 runs over six innings, striking out five. De Brouwer threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. De Brouwer recorded the last three outs to earn the save for The Frogs.
